Great idea. Wrong language. Stayed quiet. Not anymore.

Hebrew for the meeting room. For olim in Israeli tech who have plenty to say – and freeze the second the conversation switches to Hebrew.

This is your daily

It starts in English. Five minutes later, it's all Hebrew.

09:30. The daily starts in English. You're fine.

You follow every word. You already know why sign-ups dropped.

Minute 5. Dana switches to Hebrew. Nobody switches back.

Fast. Slang. Half-sentences. You catch about half of it.

Then comes the question. And you have the answer.

Your idea is ready. In English.

The Hebrew isn't. You start building the sentence in your head…

…and Noa says it first.

That was your idea. You didn't lack the idea. You lacked a few Hebrew words at the right second. That part is fixable.Book a free 15-min fit call

Getting into the conversation
סליחה, אני רוצה לומר משהו.
Slikha, ani rotse lomar mashehu.
Correct. Polite. By the time you finish it, the topic has changed.
רגע, רגע – אפשר?
Rega, rega – efshar?
Three words. You have the floor.
Disagreeing
אני לא מסכים עם הרעיון שלך.
Ani lo maskim im ha-ra'ayon shelkha.
Grammatically perfect. Also slightly rude.
אני רואה את זה קצת אחרת.
Ani ro'e et ze ktsat akheret.
You push back and stay a team player.
Asking for a status
מה המצב של העבודה?
Ma ha-matsav shel ha-avoda?
They'll understand you. They'll also know you learned it from a book.
איפה זה עומד?
Eifo ze omed?
What your team lead actually says.

Who's teaching

Hi, I'm Mor.

My team and I teach the Hebrew that happens between the slides – the interruptions, the half-sentences, the “רגע, רגע”.

I began teaching Hebrew in 2010 during my military service, working with new Olim from around the world – and quickly fell in love with the mission of helping people build a real life in Israel.

I founded Bereshit Academy to help every Oleh gain the language, confidence, and cultural understanding needed to truly integrate into Israeli society – both personally and professionally.

Today my team teaches the curriculum I wrote for the modern Israeli workplace – live, in small groups on Zoom.

From students

What they say after the course.

Mor was an absolutely excellent teacher and Bereshit was worth the cost. Every lesson was well prepared and tailored to build off the previous one so by the end of the course, I could really tell I had made substantial progress. I would not hesitate to recommend Bereshit to anyone looking to get serious about their Hebrew learning.

Mor is a fabulously positive and encouraging teacher. She is patient and understanding of all of her students equally and encouraging on every step to help all her students find confidence to speak and put in the hard work to learn. She is always enthusiastic which comes off on the students, giving them the strength needed. It is clearly evident that what she strives for most is for her students to succeed. I highly recommend Mor's ulpan.

It has been an absolute pleasure to learn Hebrew with Mor. Her professionalism, friendliness, endless patience, and unwavering desire to help students grasp the intricate details of this foreign language have greatly improved my ability to communicate in Hebrew. I highly recommend her courses to anyone interested in learning this beautiful language!

Questions

The things you're probably thinking.

Didn't find yours? Ask me on WhatsApp – that's what the fit call is for.

The state gives me ulpan for free. Why pay?

Ulpan is great for everyday life – the clinic, the bank, the landlord. Bereshit picks up where it stops: the daily, the Slack thread, the voice note, the moment you want to push back. Different job, different Hebrew.

I'm swamped. Will I really keep up?

That's why sessions are 50 minutes on Zoom, at a time that fits your work day – morning or evening. And in a small group you're missed when you skip – in a good way. If your company joins, you study with colleagues, which makes it much easier to stay.

Is it worth the money?

The group track comes to about ₪110 per live session, and you can split it into up to 3 payments. Think about what one idea you didn't say out loud cost you. And ask your employer – company packages come with a discount.

What level do I need?

Bereshit teaches all levels. To find yours exactly, you get two things: the 15-minute fit call, where we hear how you speak, and a precise placement test. Then we put you in the group that matches your level.

Group or VIP – how do I choose?

Group if you want practice with other people and a fixed weekly rhythm. VIP if you're senior, your schedule is unpredictable, or you'd rather practice somewhere no one else is listening.
